The Nature Conservancy

Location

Sacramento

Ponci began this project for The Nature Conservancy, a nonprofit in Sacramento, in late August 2024, with support from David Sobon’s nonprofit, Wide Open Walls.

To bring the vision to life, Ponci hired several artists to contribute their interpretations of her design, each adding their touch to different sections of the mural. Over the course of two months, this custom project took shape, blending elements that celebrate the natural beauty of Northern California.

The far left sandhill crane was executed by Ponci.

The other artists and their primary sections include:

Marty Martinez- California hibiscus and grapes
Juskuz- Bumble bees and bat
Tattoo Drew- Hummingbird
Yusef James- Landscape
Tim Lindsay- Scenery
Reds- Red tail hawk, steelhead and king salmon
Emer- Dandilions
Heidi Alviso- Flowers

Additional background assistance was provided by Husla, Ryan Winchell, Deuce 7, Edan Foster, and Dylan Wasco.
